England Team Selection Revealed: Jude and Foden Left Out, Bukayo Makes Comeback
Thomas Tuchel has opted to stick with the same England squad that secured victory against Andorra and produced a stellar performance in Belgrade during the previous international break, finding no place for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in Latvia.
Despite Phil Foden pushing for a recall after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Jude Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has decided against including two of the country's most prominent offensive stars. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his team since his return.
Tuchel has made room for Bukayo Saka, who is fully recovered and has been reinstated in place of his unavailable Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. The experienced attacker has not been handed a recall.

The national team coach expressed his admiration for the energy in the previous selection and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. The Newcastle defender, who started at left-back in the 5-0 win in Serbia, has dropped out due to a knock. The manager has not called up a like-for-like substitute for the Magpies star but has included John Stones, who had to pull out previously. Tuchel has spoken about the Manchester City defender's importance for the national team and has suggested using him in midfield.
No spot has been found for Adam Wharton, who was called up last month but pulled out due to injury and was substituted by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Tuchel said: “A mere three weeks after the previous gathering and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the consideration was why not select the identical squad in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Tino and Noni and we bring of course the Arsenal forward in to replace Noni. Jarell Quansah was a late call-up previously; he will stay in camp.”
